I'm sure you've all heard the rumors about Doug Aldrich joining the Whitesnake tour, So we'll let Doug tell you in his own words what's going on~

To All The Great Dio Fans,

Just got home from the US Dio headline tour. The tour was a great success and we really enjoyed playing for everyone. We had some killer shows and as usual, Ronnie was amazing.

I've been asked to join Whitesnake for their upcoming tour, and I hope I will be able to see some of you at the shows. After the tour I look forward to collaborating with Ronnie and Jimmy on new music for the next Dio release.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and making the Dio tours a success.

Also, thank you for your continued love and support for Ronnie.

Dio will record the New York stop for an upcoming DVD scheduled for release in April 2003 on Eagle Vision, a division of Eagle Rock Entertainment. The as yet untitled DVD will be directed by Ken Botelho for Century Productions and will consist of footage from the band's performance at the Roseland Ballroom on Friday, December 13th.

Spitfire has also recently released a Killing the Dragon (Limited Edition) CD on October 22, 2002. The specially packaged release contains bonus material including live versions of Ronnie singing "Fever Dreams" and "Rainbow in The Dark" with Deep Purple, the video for "Push" featuring Tenacious D and a DIO screensaver.
